Space2Earth Summit | Geospatial World Forum 2026

From data sovereignty to digital infrastructure, and from climate action to AI-driven location intelligence, GWF has helped shape how societies perceive, value, and utilize spatial knowledge. This year the event will be held at RAI Congress Centre, Amsterdam on April 27 – 1 May.

Margot Mammeri from Aerospace Valley will give a presentation in the Space2Earth Summit on April 30th titled “Pre-Commercial Procurement Horizon EU project: Leveraging satellite data for urban challenges”.

Conference Theme

Sovereignty, Economy & Society

In today’s interconnected and interdependent world, sovereignty is no longer limited to political boundaries—it extends to data, infrastructure, and digital autonomy. At GWF 2026, we explore how nations and communities are asserting spatial sovereignty to secure their interests, enhance governance, and define the rules of the digital era.

At the same time, geospatial intelligence is reshaping economies—from Geospatial Knowledge Infrastructure to space and geospatial sovereignty, and from digital supply chains to utilities and networks, AEC, agriculture, defence, and intelligence. As the global economy becomes increasingly data-driven, geospatial knowledge is emerging as a cornerstone for inclusive, sustainable, and resilient growth.

And at the heart of it all lies society—informed citizens, empowered communities, and equitable access to public services. Whether it’s climate resilience, disaster response, , land rights, health, or urban planning, geospatial infrastructure is enabling a more transparent, participatory, and resilient social contract.

Space2Earth Seminar

Theme: Space Infrastructure as a Service for the Geospatial Industry

This one-day program focuses on the growing imperative for nations to assert sovereignty over space-based infrastructure and geospatial data. With increasing reliance on satellite systems and earth observation for security, governance, and economic growth, countries face the challenge of balancing open global cooperation with protecting national interests. The summit will explore technological, legal, and policy frameworks necessary to build resilient and autonomous geospatial ecosystems that safeguard national security, economic independence, and data integrity.

SPACE4Cities will give a presentation in the Space2Earth Summit on Thursday April 30th, titled “Pre-Commercial Procurement Horizon EU project: Leveraging satellite data for urban challenges”. SPACE4Cities is represented by Margot Mammeri from Aerospace Valley.
